Breast Feeding mother's diet|बच्चे को दूध पिलाने वाली माता के लिए आहार
Hello mommies,
Welcome to my blog "Smile Baby". Today we are going to discus about diet and nutrition required for the breast feeding mothers.
Breast feeding is most important activity for the baby as well as mothers. During pregnancy we continuously take calcium , iron, fruits, milk and healthy food. Which result in the good health and weight gain of baby and mother. Because of healthy diet our skin glows, we feel nice and happy. But suddenly after the baby birth, our routine changes.
We gets too much busy in the baby that we could not get enough time to take care of ourselves. Our body has suffered a lot physically, mentally and emotionally. Lots of blood loss and operational stitches made us tired. All these things results in the body weakness.
So it is very necessary to take care first two moths after delivery. Mother must take rest for the three month and take care of her diet. Diet imbalance affects production of the breast milk. After delivery, whatever we eat terns into breast milk. That's why taking care of diet is much important.
But my personal experience says that, once baby is delivered, we could not get time to breath. Day and night seems to be same. For the recovery of our mother's body and providing proper breast milk to the baby I have given some tips.
Do the following things for the recovery of mothers and producing healthy breast milk
- Try to eat after every two hours. It provides you energy and avoids acidity problems. Frequent eating helps to produce breast milk.
- Breast milk is made up of 70-80% of water, so try to drink 9/10 glass of water daily irrespective of season. It will keep your body hydrated and produce good breast milk.
- Take 3-4 glass of milk daily. try to add diary products(cheese, panir, chhas) to your milk as they are rich source of calcium.
- Take pulses/legume with green vegetable and ghee. They are rich in proteins.
- Daily take 2-3 types of variable fruits(oranges, papaya, kiwi, apple,Chiku). They provides fibers and vitamin c to the body, which helps to absorb iron.
- Dry fruits: take them in various forms such as either soaked or powered. Take traditional dry fruit laddo. They are considered to be best for the recovery after delivery.
Don't: Things which are not allowed to the breast feeding mothers
- Avoid alcohol completely.
- Smoking is not allowed, neither active nor passive.
- Do not take any medicines, Doctors also will not allow you to take medicines during feeding time. Medicines gets dissolved in the blood and and may affect the breast milk, which may harm the baby.
- Avoid spicy food, after delivery your spicy foods are not digested easily. Indigestion causes gas and acidity. Baby may also suffers from gas and indigestion.
